The Royal Bavarian - Spa

Im prunkvollen Gebäude am Bahnhofplatz 1 hat das 25hours Hotel im ehemaligen Oberpostamtsgebäude seinen Platz in München gefunden. Der denkmalgeschützte Bau im Stil der Neurenaissance geht zurück bis auf das Jahr 1871 und trug Anfangs die Bezeichnung „Königliche Telegrafen-Centralstation“. Im Krieg wurde der Monumentalbau fast vollständig zerstört und dann in Anlehnung an sein früheres Erscheinungsbild wieder aufgebaut.

Wir wurden mit der ehrenvollen Aufgabe betreut, dem geschichtsträchtigen Gebäude neues Leben einzuhauchen und durften ein Hotel gestalten, welches mit besonderen Details überrascht und Gäste mit auf eine Reise nimmt, zurück in die royale Vergangenheit Bayerns: The Royal Bavarian.

The 25hours Hotel has found its new home in Munich, in the magnificent building at Bahnhofplatz 1. The listed structure was built in 1871 in the Renaissance Revival style. In the last century, it served as a building for the postal service and was the home of the royal telegraph station. During the war, the building was almost completely destroyed; however, it was rebuilt according to its original appearance.

We were entrusted with the honourable task to breathe fresh life into this historical location and were allowed to design a hotel that surprises guests and takes them on a journey; a journey back into the royal past of Bavaria: The Royal Bavarian.
